Vision and Mission

Public health, clinical and EXERCISE promotion initiatives for obesity and diabetes share the same need for evidence-based, cost-effective solutions to minimize the challenges of implementation, as well as to inform policies and strategies to improve national health objectives. The Interdisciplinary Hub for Obesity Research intends to offer a facility that allows researchers from different disciplines within the University, and external stakeholders to contribute and explore various solutions to the problem using their specific research expertise and contacts. This concept will allow us to sequentially evaluate the most successful policies, publications and research interventions, which produce the best treatment outcomes.

CHESR will also develop a repository of best practice that will be regularly organized and updated into a printed and digital product constructed specifically for delivery by health care professionals, related health populations and adult educators/researchers.
